Become a Board Member!
Dear Friends –
It is our wish as a Board to direct Friends of Yoho into the future with much care and aspirations we can muster within the operating unit of Lake Louise/Yoho/Kootenay, towns of Field and Golden, and most importantly Yoho National Park. Our current board has members from Victoria, Golden and Field, BC.
Our Field Board members are important to us, as this means we are engaging locally with the residents of the Park and also getting the inside view of what it means to be in Yoho every day for both passer by, avid adventurer, and living experiences.
Being a Board member is a rewarding experience. We get to learn about what is happening in Yoho National Park (sometimes before anyone else), see what we can do to make visitors’ experiences better and advocate for the environment, wildlife and tourism viewpoints along side employees and residents of the area.
We work closely with Parks Canada staff, and each fuel our passion for the outdoors, trails, history, current activities and new projects that are on-going in the Parks. Join us to find your own way to contribute with a bright bunch of great people who care! We get out in the wilds together as a Board and share our insights every month.
As a Board member, consider about 5 hours a month on busy months to contribute to the Friends of Yoho.
Please submit a resume, letter of interest to: Manager@friendsofyoho.ca to express your interest in joining us!
